FAQ

What is salvation?

Salvation is when you choose to surrender your life to God and have accepted Jesus as your Savior. This is when you realize you cannot keep living your life on your own strength and need a higher power -Jesus- to help you.

I asked Jesus to be my Savior. Now what?

Welcome to the family! We want you to share this news with us by filling out the connect card so we can celebrate with you and give the tools you need to start your relationship with Jesus.

Where should I start reading the Bible?

The Bible is a collection of 66 books split into two sections called the Old Testament (everything before Jesus) and the New Testament everything after Jesus. There are 4 books (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) that start the New Testament called “gospels.” These are the books about Jesus and what he did when he was on the Earth.  It is recommended that you start with the book of John.

How can I be baptized?

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change of heart. This is a public display that you are ready to live your life for God. If this is something you would like to do, fill out a connect card and a pastor will reach out and set up a time to meet with you.

How do I become a member?

WWC regularly holds a six week membership class. Fill out a connect card to show your interest and we will give you the information on the next scheduled class time.

How can I serve?

We believe that God has given us all gifts to be used by the church. If you want to serve, we want to create a place for you that will utilize your God given gifts. Fill out a connect card and our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you.

How can I get plugged in to a small group or class?

We have various small groups and new classes that we will be launching regularly. If you have an interest in joining a group, fill out the connect card and will reach out to you with more information.

What are some recommended resources?

YouVersion Bible App has incredible library of Bibles (NIV or NLT are recommended to start with) and devotional plans to help you learn more about what the Bible says about specific topics like anxiety or marriage.

How do I give a donation or tithe?

You can write a check to Walkerville Wesleyan Church and mail it to.
